Sonya Dacus, DVM

Dr. Dacus grew up in Cleveland, Tennessee, and since the age of 6 has loved veterinary medicine. She spent 2 years of her undergraduate career playing volleyball for the Tusculum Pioneers in Greenville, Tennessee. She then transferred to the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine to receive her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2014.

Sonya is married to Paul Dacus of Sweetwater, Tennessee, and has a precious little girl named Madilyn. Their 4 legged family includes 2 dogs, Henry and Bella. Together they enjoy being at the lake, hiking, traveling, and sporting events.

Dr. Dacus is passionate about the human-animal bond and helping clients detect issues with their animals sooner. Having always played team sports she enjoys working at The Animal Clinic where every difficult case is managed with multiple doctors and staff helping the patient. She is excited about medicine and the ability to improve the quality of life of your pet.
